Promotion is what record labels should excel at. It's all about building a brand and a promotional platform for itself and the artist. Before focusing on the Loving Music record label platform we aim to make it easy and inexpensive to set up a promotional campaign for the music we'll put out. Here's how we believe it should be done.
Running a label is hard. We've set up a short list of things we consider to be vital for running a proper record label with potential. As such it can be seen as a small guide for ambitious artists aiming for a career in music on what to look for in a record label.
Spring is in the air here in Holland. The sun is shining and it's warm outside. Whilst enjoying the weather I'm imagining what the summer might have in store for us. The Loving Music businessplan should be finished by that time and most questions should answered and we can start the lookout for new talent. Question is, what are those talents looking for?
Slowly Loving Music is venturing from an abstract idea into the realm of reality. We're in the process of working out a businessplan to see if our gut feeling and assumptions about the music industry are valid. This blog will elaborate on the challenges Loving Music will have to tackle before it's launch (and we will continue to do so post-launch of course).
